Initiative: Eau and BARKA Foundation organized the first Foire de l'Eau, the official World Water Day event in Burkina Faso in 2018. The Office National de l'Eau et de l'Assainissement (ONEA) was a partner of the event and wrote the following article for the African Water Association monthly bulletin.

Initiative: Eau is included in a list of 30 NGOs working globally to address water, sanitation, and hygiene issues by Raptim. Raptim is a nonprofit humanitarian travel company, arranging NGO travel to remote, difficult, and conflict zones.

Initiative: Eau is highlighted for a unique use of the WPDx platform: to find other water actors in Burkina Faso conducting water point mapping. Through the interface, Initiative: Eau entered into contact with Rasmata ONLUS, an Italian NGO working in the west of Burkina Faso.
